Every Sword In Demon’s Souls Remake, Ranked
The demons are the rulers of the land, and there are only a limited number of skilled warriors who survive and fight for the souls of the dead. Some people don’t have the patience to put enough time into Demon’s Souls to really get anything out of it, but those who avoid playing it out of fear that it may be too difficult should reconsider. There are countless Demon’s Souls guides online that will help players understand everything that’s going on, and there are many ways to make the game more forgiving. For example, there’s almost always a way to make Demon’s Souls boss fights a little easier, like figuring out a weakness to exploit or getting help from random players in the co-op mode. These things make Demon’s Souls doable for more casual players, while still providing the stiff challenge it’s known for. In a discussion about some of the greatest and most challenging games of all time, it goes without saying that FromSoftware’s offerings would definitely be a major part of this conversation.
Bryank75 clarified that PC plans are still in motion, but added that “some of them suck”. Interpret this as you wish, but don’t expect a Bluepoint remake to appear anytime soon. According to the above video by YouTube creator Youwy, the Claymore is also extremely flexible with Infusions applied to the weapon. You can even push an S Rank Damage scaling for Strength if you turn the weapon into a Crushing Claymore. How about the return of a classic puzzler or two new stunning side-scroll…
They’re huge — most of the game involves navigating these four archstones, making careful progress until you can overcome the boss blocking the checkpoint. You’ll need to level up, collect upgrade materials, and spread out your adventuring to all five zones at the same time, making slight progress in each. A remake of Demon’s Souls, developed by Bluepoint Games, was announced in June 2020.
The Demon’s Souls Remake by Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio managed to be one of the best launch games on either the Xbox Series X or PS5. The fact that it was a console exclusive helped bolster the PS5 as millions of gamers were excited to dive back into the FromSoftware title that started their recent decade in excellence. More items have been added to give more life to the world of Demon’s Souls, as it would be a shame if it felt static and lifeless with nothing but demons everywhere. Along with this, Bluepoint has given more unique animations to weapons so they all feel different. Getting back into the game now takes mere seconds compared to the original, allowing more time to fight demons and explore the newly imagined world. Waiting to get back into the game is a real bore and ruins the experience of a great game.
This armor set is easier to find than some of the other objectively better armor sets in the game. It can be found in the Prison of Hope, just on the first floor. All you need to do is reach the end of the corridor, turn right, and you’ll find the entire set.
If you’re visiting an area for the first time, observe bloodstains to see how other players died, and take heed from messages scrawled on the ground. Keep in mind you’ll need to play online to get helpful hints from other players. For example, the miners in Stonefang Tunnel are weak to piercing weapons like rapiers, and Phalanx is weak to fire (hence why you get so many firebombs in the game’s first level).

Unlike the Dark Souls series, which is fully developed by From Software and published by Bandai Namco, Demon’s Souls was a collaboration between From Software and Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio. Sony, presumably, owns the intellectual property, and until very recently, hasn’t released any of its games on PC. The gameplay trailer shown off during September’s PS5 showcase was a beautiful demonstration of how Demon’s Souls will look and play on the PS5. It’s looking pretty amazing, so it’s even more disappointing that Sony retracted the PC announcement. It appears that the upcoming Demon’s Souls remake might still make its way to PlayStation 4, according to the game’s listing by a Hungarian retailer.
Demon’s Souls Review: Is The Ps5 Remake Worth It? Nostalgia Never Looked So Good
Encountered in a ruin roughly halfway through 4-1, the Adjudicator Shield, while not a weapon in a traditional sense, is an excellent complementary piece for builds that aren’t excessively reliant on parrying or dexterity. Classified as a large shield, it’s not practical in all situations, and it doesn’t even negate one hundred percent of incoming damage. A classic starting weapon for Demon’s Souls is the Knight Sword, a simple weapon that can be wielded in one or both hands by your character. This tool is the ultimate example of flexibility, as you can upgrade it or infuse it however you want without the risk of it losing its best qualities. The low Stamina cost on each swing means that your strikes will be fast and reliable without putting your character at risk. If you manage to find the Ring of Avarice, you’ll increase the number of souls that drop from enemies, making soul farming more bountiful.

Also, bring fire magics, items, weapons to disptach the inhabitants of the valley. So when the Demon’s Souls remake was announced for PS5, I nearly leapt out of my chair in excitement to play it again (and while actually playing it, I did leap out of my chair). Demon’s Souls was the first game in the Souls saga, released in 2009, and while loved, it was notoriously difficult.
All of this is taken to new heights of immersion through the DualSense controller. The haptic feedback adaptive triggers pair with the 3D audio in superb fashion. It’s one thing to watch as your character strikes down the undead and impales a skeleton, it’s another to completely hear and feel the difference. Every sword strike and spell blast feel instantly recognizable, while even the creaking of a chain-operated elevator or the pattering of rain add to the overall immersion. It really has to be felt to be understood but the DualSense finalizes this game as having the best gameplay of any “Souls” title. Demon’s Souls Remake feels positively slow compared to other games from developer FromSoftware — and it’s still a very challenging game.
Don’t position yourself in front of it, and try to hit it from the side. Doing so will release AF88 along the corridor this will kill a lot of Enemies, making the passage safe. Get down from the gap to find another lootable body, this one holds a Bastard Sword. You will have to climb again from the outside of the building, following the same path as before until you arrive at the long stairs with the giant boulder on top. Or you can walk up to the long set of stairs, wait for the soldier to push the boulder, and immediately run down or jump down to avoid getting hit. The boulder will destroy the wooden barricade that’s blocking the section where the body holds the sword.
Bonfires in Dark Souls act as checkpoints that, while they also respawn all the enemies in the immediate vicinity, also allow players to spend points to level up their characters. And with “it all” I mean the Soulslike-Subgenre of action RPGs. If you played the original you already know what you’re getting yourself into. For people who haven’t played it on PS3, if you played any Dark Souls or Bloodborne that gives you a good idea of what to expect. If you never played any Souls games, expect a long learning curve, your first Souls game is always your hardest.
